Cindie Powell Bacon was born on March 24, 1975 in Billings, Montana. She passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2023. She was the third of five children born to Vic and Bonnie Powell.
Cindie primarily grew up in Billings (MT), Pocatello (ID) and Missoula (MT). After high school her love for children took her on a journey to many different states working as a private nanny. When Cindie was in her early 20s she met the love of her life, Chris. Together they had three amazing children, who they raised in Helena after moving there for a job Chris secured working for the state.
Cindie and Chris recently celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary. Cindie went to college as a determined, working mom and got her degree in communications from The University of Montana. Recently Cindie was employed as a Litigation Paralegal CCD for the state of Montana, a job that she loved. Cindie was beloved by family, friends and colleagues and she will be terribly missed by them all.
She is survived by her husband Chris and her children Aiden, Alex and Aeric, her grandmother Jane Powell, her father Vic Powell and siblings Angela Mielke (Kevin), Steff Peters (Noel), David Powell (Shasta) and Megan Powell, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her mother Bonnie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Howler’s Inn Wolf Sanctuary in Bozeman, Montana, which was her favorite place to relax and curl up with a book (especially in the rain).
