Harold Gordon Heath, 79, of Townsend passed away peacefully on April 13, 2012 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Helena._x000D_
Harold was born June 15, 1933 in Bozeman, the son of Edgar and Geneva Mae (Kaiser) Heath. He spent his early life and attended school in Wilsall, MT._x000D_
Harold joined the U.S. Air Force and spent four years as boom technician on a KC97. Harold met Doreen Murray while stationed in England. They married in Salina, Kansas and two children were born to this marriage. She preceded him in death._x000D_
Harold worked and retired as a project engineer with Montana Department of Transportation. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a special fondness for horses. He spent many years coaching and judging 4-H horse projects and years being a clown and bull fighter at amateur rodeos._x000D_
Most recently, Harold resided in Townsend enjoying diamond willow woodworking, dancing, and being with his very special friend, Connie Shindoll._x000D_
Survivors include Wayne (Linda) Heath of Gallatin Gateway, MT; daughter Rhonda Ellis of Billings; five grandchildren Clint (Lisa) Heath, Jessica (Don Watson) Heath, Katie Ellis, Tyler Ellis, and Jake Ellis; three great grandchildren Faith, Bob and Kylie._x000D_
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert._x000D_
Family requests donations to your favorite charity. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, April 20 at Twichel Funeral & Cremation Service, 314 N. Rodney, Helena. Graveside committal will follow with military honors at Montana State Veterans Cemetery.
