Debra Lietzow Jette joined the Lord in peace July 8, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 25, 1947, to Gordon and Josephine Pierson of Deer Lodge. Deb was talented in everything she did from her art, creativity with glass and ceramics, gardening, and her love for cooking and baking. She worked in the family butcher shop as well as the postal service, from which she retired, and also operated her own business, Bar P Ceramics, for many years. She last worked for her good friend, Billie Greany. Deb loved life and enjoyed giving her baking and ceramics to her friends. She spent many summers traveling with her two children and father on the Race Track Wagon Train. Deb loved her tuna fishing trips out of West Port, Ore., with Dave and recently started camping in their RV with Juna and Temple.
She married Dennis Emil Lietzow, which gave her two beautiful children, Dennis Edward and Casi Jo, around whom her whole life centered. Casi was taken from her in 1991.
At the time of her death, Deb was married to David P. Jette, which joined her with another loving family. Together they shared a loving life with two families of numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Deb is survived by her husband, David Jette; their canine companion, Maggie; brother, Gordon, and his wife, Myra Pierson; sister, Sena Knight; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jim and Donna Hoppe and Harold and Carol Jette; son, Dennis Edward Lietzow; stepdaughters, Stephanie Stidham and Lori Hamilton; nephews, Gordon, Brant and Travis Pierson; niece, Nicole Ashby; two beautiful granddaughters, Sydney and Lyndsey Duke; and grand-niece and nephew, Juna and Temple Ashby, who also lovingly called her Grama.
She joins her parents; brothers, Edward, William and Bobby Joe; and her loving daughter Casi Jo. She will be deeply missed and remembered with love.
A memorial service will be held at the Race Track Community Center (8 1/2 miles south of Deer Lodge on I-90 Frontage Road) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14. Memorials may be given to donor’s choice.
