Toby Lee LaMere was born Dec. 13, 1956 to parents Lee and Betty LaMere. He lived most of his life in Helena, Montana with his family where he enjoyed the outdoors with activities like hiking, fishing, and bird watching. He also loved to read, study history, and play games with his friends and family. He was passionate about his fantasy football, as one of 3 co-commissioners, with Bill Loomis and Rick Deady, of the Mount Helena Fantasy Football league with his team the Wapatis. He worked on the maintenance team at the Helena College. His number one priority was to provide for his family, and he made that clear with every action he made. The memories made at the lake with his family, around the table with friends, or joking around anywhere in-between will be cherished by all for the rest of our lives. His tragic passing on Tuesday September 2, 2014 came as a shock to all. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Dot)Peterson LaMere, son James LaMere and his wife Jessica, daughter Ginnie LaMere Smith and her husband Richie, mother Betty LaMere, brother Fred LaMere, sister Valerie LaMere-Dowell her husband Kevin, two grandchildren Emma and Teagen LaMere, and 4 nephews 3 nieces, as well as innumerable friends and loved ones._x000D_

My loving brother was a protector and had a compassionate soul that is rarely found. Everybody talks about how good of person somebody is but everything I can say about Toby is true and very heartfelt. Our loss is that we won’t be able to experience the love, protection , and compassion that was a day to day practice for Toby.
