This is a tough one…I have known Marie for at least 30 years…she is a lady that will be missed by so many. The way she faced adversity with gusto is an example for anyone who might think the world has handed them more than they can handle..my husband and I visited her on less occasions than we wanted and she was always so openly gracious. She has been my inspiration through the trials I face everyday and was so very proud of Bob and her love for Jake shown the moment I asked about them. May God sit on the shoulders of her family as they walk through this. Give Basil a hug for me Marie..we will miss you but wish you God speed…Donna
Basil took me under his wing during my senior year of highschool with my parents approval. Basil got me to join the Montana National Guard . After my graduation he was able to get me a job with the Guards.I was very privileged to be Best Man at there wedding. We stayed in close contact all through there lives. After Basil passed we stayed in touch with Marie at least one a week and when we came to Helena always had at least one supper meal with her. We would call her and find out what she would like for supper, she liked to have Subway and or a good sloppy. hamburger. Two finner people I have never known. We will miss them dearly. One week before she pass Marie told me she will be with Basil before me. R I P dear friends until we meet again…Dick

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. We had met her through her son and grandson. One of the fondest memories was watching Jake come home at the airport with her. The love she had for her family was very evident. Terry Lopez and Mavrick

I worked with Marie at Norwest Bank for years. We both lived in the same area of Helena. One Friday she ask me if she could catch a ride home after work, and of course
I told her she could. When the time came, at the end of the day when everyone was rushing to get everything locked in the vaults, and etc., I went down to the cloak room,
put on my coat, and punched out on the time clock. I then walked up Lawrence St. to
the parking lot, got into my car, and drove home. When I arrived home, it dawned on me
that I was supposed to give Marie a ride home. Frantically, I called the bank, no answer,
and then I called her house, no answer. I was so upset with myself. Finally, I did get
hold of Marie, and she told me it was OK, and that she had found a ride home. I never
did quit apologizing to her about it. We kept in contact over the years. I always thought
Marie was a special, lovely, caring person. I am so glad that she, and I, had that friend-
ship.
I know Bobby, and Jacob, will miss her immensely. I wish to express our sincere
condolences for your loss.
