Pete Clausen Jr., passed away at his home on the morning of October 22, 2016, with his wife at his side. He was 85 years old. Peter was born April 3, 1931, in Helena, MT to Pete and Marie Clausen.
Pete served in the Navy Reserves from 1947-1950. He then joined the Air Force and was stationed in South Korea. After an honorable discharge from the service, he worked as an Auto Body Repairman for 40 years.
In 1953, he married Patsy Hines and together they had six children. They were married 61 years.
Pete loved hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Dad’s wonderful sense of humor and love of family will be missed.
Pete was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister, Susie Roy, brothers, John, Robert and Fred Clausen.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy, daughters, Jeannie (Dean) McKerrow of California, Sandy (Dan) Chamberlain of Washington, Vicki (David) Tillo, Jackie (Gary) Love, both of Helena, sons, Tim Clausen of Helena, Ken Clausen of Idaho, and Richard (Shannon) Clausen of Helena, sister, Dora Maynard, 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Military graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Fort Harrison VA Cemetery. A reception will follow at the VA Service Club.

I am so sorry to hear about Pete! He will be missed. When Pete and my dad were in Big Sky together he would come down and visit every day. They were friends along time. Now they are both up in Heaven chatting up a storm and of course telling stories! My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
