I was fortunate enough to work with Brett for many years, and we had several wonderful experiences together. On one trip to the “corporate headquarters” in Bismarck, Brett and I got on the flying culvert (Big Sky Airlines) and were only two of the five passengers. Great! we can pick any seat we want! Brett and I chose the back seats, because they offered the most leg room, which was very much needed. BUT, before we took off the pilot came back and told us we would have to move to the front of the plane, because we weighed too much. We had to cram into the smaller front row seats to help balance the plane :(. There are many other stories that could be relayed, but they remain happily in my memory.
My condolences to the family, friends, and many co-workers.
You will be missed “buddy.”

Some of my best life memories were with Brett. He made life better for those of us who were fortunate enough to know him. I keep thinking about horse pack trips Brett and I took in the Bob Marshal Wilderness. What great times! Happy trails my friend……

I enjoyed my time working with Brett and we shared a lot of laughter. While very knowledeable in many areas his strongest attributes were his personality, sense of humor and kindness. There was absolutely no malice in this man’s heart. It was always very obvious how much he loved his family as he was always anxious to tell you about their achievements.
To Sandi and family I express my deep sympathy.

Brett was a man of his word and integrity, honesty and respect are part of his legacy. Always positive and encouraging. When we would wager a beer on football he would always honor that wager and usually with a few more! You will be missed my friend but never forgotten as your legacy is as large as the big sky’s of Montana.

We are so sorry for your loss Sandi and family. I was fortunate to work with and for Brett for 6 years at RMC. He was a great boss to work for, he really cared for his guys and always stressed safety and reminded us how the most important thing was that we all go home to our families at the end of the day. If I was in the shop at break time he liked to come out and sit with us and visit. He said he had to get out of the office for a while, lots of stories and laughter. He was a great man and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

I am so sorry about Brett. I am fortunate to have gotten to know Brett and Sandra over the course of the past 5 years during our trips to the Montana Governor’s Cup in the Flathead in August. Brett and Sandra and Michelle and Kevin Harris hosted our group out on the lake several times and we had a great time relaxing on the water. Great memories. Brett was so kind and generous to all of us. I am glad to have had the chance to get to know him. He will be missed.
