LilaJo Ann Francis Hallenberg, born April 15, 1948, passed away at the age of 73 in Great Falls, MT, on May 23, 2021.
Lila was married to Brian Hallenberg on January 1, 2004, in Helena, MT, and resided in Great Falls, MT, prior to her passing. She loved taking long walks with Brian, feeding the animals near her home, caring for her plants, playing with her remote-control cars, and spending time with family and friends. She was hardworking, loving, stubborn, and courageous. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
Lila is survived by her husband, Brian Hallenberg, Great Falls, MT. Daughters and sons-in-law: Tina & Brian Kendall, Holcomb, KS; Cenyettie & Bill Wornek, Idaho Falls, ID; Laura Whitten & Ronald White, Helena, MT; Leslie & Jeffrey Hochstrasser, Helena, MT; Tena & Rusty Pennington, Helena, MT. Siblings and spouses: Barbara & Spike Amundson, Boise, ID; Thomas & Donna Francis, Helena, MT; Ralph Francis, Spokane, WA. Special recognition to her loving mother-in-law, Pat Lemler, Great Falls, MT; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alta & Richard Sollars Great Falls, MT; and 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
Lila was preceded in Death by: Emma Van Diest (Mother); Roy Francis (Father); Roy Francis Jr. (Brother), June Abbot (Sister), Clarence Francis (Brother), Alvin “Butch” Francis (Brother).
Because there will be no service, in lieu of flowers the family would prefer that donations be made in her name to Benefis Peace Hospice of Montana, 2600 15th Avenue South, Great Falls, MT. Hospice (benefis.org)

Was thinking of Lila and girls not long ago. I had not seen her in a very long time. We use to have a lot of fun when we lived in Almanor. I babysat the girls many times while they lived there and then they moved. I kept in tough with Lila and would see her periodically. We always had a laugh to share.
