Andrew Scott “Andy†McCormack, 25, of Helena passed away June 1, 2012. Andy was born June 29, 1986, in Fort Collins, Colo.
Andy and his parents lived in Gillette, Wyo.; Elko, Nev.; Powell, Wyo.; Laurel and Billings and moved to Helena in 2009. Andy loved to play basketball and looked forward to March Madness. He was a generous, kind person with a huge heart. Andy never knew a stranger and is now flying with the eagles.
He is survived by his parents, Mick and Bonnie McCormack, Helena; aunt and uncle Patricia and Gerald Mohl, Lakeport, Calif.; uncle Jim Sattler, Fort Collins; aunt Sandy Hill, Medford, Ore.; and numerous cousins. Andy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jim and Marge McCormack; maternal grandparents, Bill and Ann Martin; uncle Scott Martin; and aunt Brenda Sattler.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Twichel Funeral & Cremation Service, 314 N. Rodney St., with visitation from 1 p.m. until funeral time. There will be a coffee hour following the service. Graveside committal will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, at Richland Memorial Park in Sidney. Family requests donations to NAMI, 616 Helena Ave., Suite 218, Helena, MT 59601, as Andy struggled with mental health issues.
