Ashley Mae Ann Diteman was born in Bozeman June 22nd 1984 to Dustin & Beth Diteman, & went to be with her lord on March 19th 2014.Ashley moved to Las Vegas as a young child and spent her youth there, but would spend the summers in her true home, Montana. She was a very energetic and athletic child, playing soccer, dance teams, and most certainly in the water at all times. When she was 15 she was suddenly stricken with a devastating disease that she fought gallantly against for the remainder of her life until her body could not fight anymore. Although there were many struggles she refused to let them get her down. During this she was chosen as the Children’s Miracle Champion Child from Nevada and went on a trip to Washington DC, where she spent time palling around with Miss America, seeing the Sights and visiting the White House, where she got to pet the presidents dogs. She also was blessed with a Make a wish trip & chose to go to Aruba, where she had a wonderful trip with her family .She then went to beauty school where she learned to be a hairdresser which she absolutely loved. She moved back to Montana in 2004 and continued doing hair for as long as she could until the pain in her hands was too much. She then went to college @ MSU & Helena Cot. and worked for several State Agencies when she could. In 2011 she purchased her own home which was a dream come true for her. She completely remodeled it and absolutely loved it. In 2013 her disease took a turn for the worse. She spent the last months of her life doing crafts with her bff Brandi Gemar . Ashley was preceded in death by her Grandmother Winona Canfield, her uncle Douglas Diteman and is survived by her parents, Dustin & Beth of helena , her brother Porter(kaila) of New York City, G.randparents Lyman & Billie Smith of Manhattan, Wallace Diteman of Bozeman , Bud Carpenter of Lewistown & numerous uncles, aunts & cousins. In leiu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to Make a Wish or The Children’s Miracle Network or a charity of your choice. Big Sky Cremations & Twitchell Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements. To offer condolences please visit www.helenafunerals.com.

Beth & Dusty,
We are so sorry to hear about Ashley. We have many fond memories of the times we got to spend with Ashley especially at the lake and camping. She was always so pleasant and friendly. Always had a smile on her face. No child should have to go through all that Ashley did. She is now at peace and free of pain. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you.

Dusty, Beth and family,
Through our daughters illnesses we became friends and I believe it was a purposeful meeting. I regret a cure was not found for Ashley and she had to suffer so. Her accomplishments were with uncommon challenges but she persevered with the desire to go on. I pray all the wonderful memories soon replace your sorrow. Her desire to be with The Lord has been granted and she is now in everlasting love and peace. You’ve been a great support and caring family. Bless Ashley’s journey.

Dear Dustin and Beth – I read with much sadness the passing of your lovely daughter Ashley. She was Julie and my favorite hairdresser. Julie always talked highly of Ashley and always enjoyed the time she spent with her. I know they are both sharing stories in Heaven. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Beth and Dustin, Jim and I were surprised to see Ashley’s obituary in the I.R. We wanted to send you two our sincere condolences. It is never easy to loose a child, no matter what the circumstances are. We feel privileged to have met her during the purchase of the Roberts Street house. She was so sweet and sincere. From the little bit we knew, it was clear that she was very blessed to have such loving parents.

Dusty, you were an incredible teammate by offering strength and support to anyone lucky enough to share a sport with you. You and your family deserve the same in return. May your lives be filled with love and peace.

Please except my deepest condolences for the passing of your dear loved one. I know that the depth of love that you and your family shared for each other and for Ashely Diteman will pull you through this most difficult time. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted too with the promise from our Heavenly Father Jehovah God, noted in the book of Psalms 37:9-11, 29 which shows that one day soon, everything that causes pain, sorrow and suffering will be done away with. Sincerely Linda

Dear Dusty and Beth,
You have been in my thoughts since I heard of Ashley’s death. Although I never met Ashley, I felt that I knew her from talking with you and the great neighbors we both knew surrounding Roberts Street. Losing a chid is devastating. You and Ashley together helped each other through her journey. Now Ashley no longer fights her pain, and she will be with you in your hearts and memories forever. God Bless.
