Barbara L. Beebe Parker, 82, of Townsend went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2018 to be with her loved ones who went ahead of her. She was born November 27, 1935 to Dorothy (Rundlett) Burt in Bozeman, Montana, the first of three children. She attended grade school and graduated from Gallatin County High School in 1954. She married Kenneth Beebe May 2, 1954 and they were blessed with four children, Norman, Jeannie, Judy and Wanda.
Barbara was a member of the Assembly of God Church Family Fellowship. She was also a member of the Camp Fire Girls, Pep Club in High School, Royal Neighbors of America, and Capital City Radio Club, Helena. Kenneth worked for numerous ranches so they had lived in Bozeman, Ennis, Harrison, Logan and Three Forks until 1960 when they moved to Helena. Barb worked for St. Peter’s Hospital for 16 years and Mr. Wise Cleaners for 19 years. Ken and Barb travelled for a couple of years until he became ill and passed away in 1996 in Townsend where they retired to. Barb worked for the Horseshoe Café where she met Edmond Parker in 2002 and they were married in 2003 in Townsend, he preceded her in death in 2013. She loved to help people and it showed as she volunteered at Heaven Sent.
She was also preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Charlie Burt, brother Donald Burt, mother and father-in-law Thelma and James Beebe, her son Norman in 1984, daughter Judy in 2014, and grandson Richard Layne in 1974.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jeannie (Jim) Christianson and Wanda Beebe, special stepson Kevin (Mariah) Parker, brother Duwane Burt,10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also was survived by her extended family Pastor Gary Bishop and his family. A special thank you to Dr. Kathleen Trapp and Dr. Thomas Weiner. Family requests donations to the St. Peter’s Cancer Center or Broadwater Health Center.
