In the early morning hours of March 25th, Bill passed away at the age of 59 at St. Peter’s Hospital, after a 9 year battle with cancer.
Bill was born on March 19th, 1956 in Butte, Montana. He was 1 of 10 children born to William and Lois Martin and Mary Pat Martin. Bill graduated from W.S.S. High School in 1975.
Bill worked his entire life in sawmills, Castle Mountain Corporation in W.S.S., Tri River Lumber and RY Timber in Townsend. He was a butcher at Mathis Thriftway in W.S.S. He and his wife Linda owned Circle V grocery store in W.S.S.
Hobbies Bill enjoyed were: hunting and fishing. He and his wife were foster parents. Usually any child or adult needing a family home, Bill and Linda welcomed them into their home. Bill was a very hard working man; he enjoyed his family time and loved being outdoors.
Bill was preceded in death by: his parents and stepmother, in-laws, daughter, infant son, brother, sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and 3 nephews.
Bill is survived by his wife Linda Martin, sons; Brian(Michele) Eliason, Indiana and Daniel Graham, West Virginia, daughters; Lynn Graham, Montana and Christine(Jason)Cimo, Colorado, brothers; Ed(Mary)Martin, Butte, Gary(Becky)Martin, Helena, and John Martin, Froid, sisters; Mary(Gary)Martin, Helena, Jackie(Don)Kynett, Townsend, Audrey(William)Plymale, Townsend, and Colleen Martin, California and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Two celebrations of Bill’s life will be held on March 28th and March 29th. March 28th in W.S.S. at the Montana Roadhouse at 3:00p.m. Sunday, March 29th in Townsend at the Ambulance Meeting room 417 Broadway at 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Linda Martin P.O. Box 114 W.S.S., Montana 59645 to help cover the cost of final services.
