Bradley “Bud” Lee, died peacefully in his home on June 16th, 2017. He was an avid fisherman and train enthusiast. His love affair with trains often brought him down to the tracks to watch the trains pass. Now he’s riding the rails in Heaven and he will be sorely missed. Bud is survived by his two sons, Mike Dalton (28) and Brad Popp (31), as well as his sister, Sharon Carow. His memorial service will be held at Spring Meadow Lake on Saturday, June 24th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bud’s name to the St. Peter’s Cancer Treatment Center.

Our whole family is deeply saddened by the loss of this dear gentle giant with a heart of gold. We all worked with Bud at the hotel for years and the boy’s worked with him at Riley’s and we loved having him up for Thanksgiving dinner. Our lives are richer for having known him and his huge smile and wonderful hugs will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I had the pleasure of working some w Brad when he was in the hospital after surgery. When I asked him what brought him to Montana, he said “a freight train”- He was so enthusiastic about trains- both my husband and brother work on the trains so I had a little in with him. He was such a pleasure to work with even while being so sick in the hospital. My condolences to his family.

Dear Sharon, Mike, and Brad,
I met Bud years ago at the transfer station watching trains go by. We’d chat, drink beers, and listen to his railroad radio – and conservative talk radio! Although we didn’t always agree on the subjects of politics and favorite NHL hockey teams, Bud was/is a special guy! I was saddened to learn of his passing and will always remember him fondly!

I met Bud about 4 years ago at the tracks. Both of us being former train riders years ago, we would drink a few and swap stories. I will miss him. Jim Shepard, Bend, OR.
