DARRELL C. HAFFNER went to be with Jesus on Feb. 13, 2015. He was the oldest of seven children born to Alice and Alfred Haffner in Meeteetse, Wy. on March 31, 1940.
He worked as a truck driver, both locally and over the road. Then he went to work as a ranch hand and loved that work. He loved team roping and riding back in the hills. He was always a cowboy. He helped start the Helmville Community Church and was active at Last Chance Chapel. He was also involved with the Black Powder Boys.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Chuck Haffner. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lynda (Damuth) Haffner; two children, Stewart (Laura) Wooley and Susan Hall (Joe Schlagenhauf); Five sisters, Donna Loecker, Jackie Deromedi, Myrna (Jerry) Webb, Penny (Lee) Car, and Teresa (David) Olson; four grandchildren, Rodney (Amanda) Brown, Echo (Scott) Weiss, Colt and Casey Wooley; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11:00am, March 2, 2015 at the Last Chance Chapel, 6240 Raven Rd, burial to follow at the V.A. Cemetery, Fort Harrison.
