Dave died Dec. 17, 2011, in the mountains he so loved. He was one with God when he was in the great outdoors. A true mountain man, Dave could conquer any mountain, stream or lake always bringing home the catch of the day! He was a survivalist._x000D_

His journey through life took him to many interesting places. He met amazing people and had the best friends. He had many jobs, always taking on the toughest work, never afraid of the elements. Friends and family waited patiently for him to report back on all his latest adventures, good or bad as they may be. We all needed to hear and have a piece of his journey with us. He took on life head first, a day at a time, never storing up material things. He lived in the moment._x000D_

Dave served in the Army and was so proud of the time he was able to serve our great country. He had a heart of gold and was proud to help any soul, for he understood what it meant to be down and out. He witnessed many elements of human nature that many of us will never know._x000D_

Thank you Dave for showing us the best spots to look for sapphires. May you now find the peace you so desperately were seeking. God’s blessings to your family.

I just returned to town and was sorry to find out about Daveand that I missed him memorial. I ran into him just before Christmas after not seeing him for a few years. I was in a rush and did not take time to talk to him longer. I wll always regret that.He had talked tome many times about his addictions- he always seemed hopefulthat he would conquer his demons. I have known “Little Richeson” since we were teens. He had an incredible great smile and had a lot of friends. I am so sorry for the loss to his family and friends. He will be missed.
