Dayna West passed away suddenly due to unknown causes on September 19,2025. Dayna’s passing will be a profound loss to her family for years to come.
Dayna was born in Eugene, Oregon on July 30th, 1977, the younger child of Bill and Mary Streeter. Dayna attended Fairfield Elementary School and Willamette High School in Eugene, where she graduated in 1995. Dayna was active in the Community of Christ Church while growing up. After high school, Dayna worked at the Boy Scout office in Eugene. She moved to Portland a few years later, where she attended the Art Institute.
One day in 2011, Dayna loaded up her car with the intent of driving until she ran out of gas and money. This happened in Helena, MT. Within a short time, Dayna had a job at the Real Food Store and an apartment nearby. It was meant to be. Dayna was introduced to Kevin West by a coworker and in 2014 they were married. They were blessed with two children, Gavin and Lillian.
Dayna will forever be remembered as a sweet, kind person with a unique, quirky personality. It was important to Dayna to connect with people and she had the ability to be remarkably patient. Dayna was rarely angered.
Dayna loved nature, plants and animals and spending time outdoors. She loved being with her children, camping, hunting trips and hosting family get togethers.
Dayna is survived by her husband, Kevin West and their children, Gavin and Lillian. She is also survived by her parents, Bill and Mary Streeter, her brother, Terry Streeter and several cousins. Dayna also had a multitude of in-laws and nephews and a niece in the West Family.
There will be a celebration of Dayna’s life on…..

Dayna was such a sweet-spirited person, and it was truly a joy to work alongside her. I’ll always remember the time we spent together investigating an issue that had both of us scratching our heads. Even in the middle of that challenge…we laughed, planned and enjoyed every moment together.
She brought a sense of fun and lightheartedness to our team, with much patience and kindness, even when I came to her with repeated requests.
She was a sweet, kind soul who touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with her husband, her young children, and all of her family members during this difficult time.
