Debra Kay Smith would like you to know that she has received an invitation she could not refuse as the Entertainment Director for a party that will last for eternity. There will be endless sunshine, socializing, free-flowing wine and tequila, laughter and so much love to share. Her husband Harry Smith and daughter Jennipher Lorber understand their mission now is to celebrate what Debra has given us during her life here, and as all who know and love Debra are aware, her wishes are a polite way of saying…get it done.
We’ll gather together so Debra knows what an outstanding job she did as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. We want her to know that the light of her smile, the open and loving heart we all cherished, her infectious laugh and loyal soul made us better for having known her. Her spirit will live on in the many, many people she so generously brought into her life. She is with us, in our hearts, always.
We will carry on and try to make each and every day the best day of our lives, just as Debra lived.
Debra Kay was born in Salem, OR on December 7, 1951. She was one of four siblings and is survived by her husband, Harry Smith, daughter Jennipher Lorber and son-in-law Brian Lorber.
Also survived by her Father, Doug Brown and 3 siblings; Mike Brown, Rhonda Becker and Kevin Brown.
Her mother Jessie Miller, is already at the party.
We’ll gather together on Friday, March 11th from 4-7pm at the Gateway Center in Helena. All who knew and loved her are welcome.

Jennifer and family,
Your mom knew how to enjoy every moment, including her game time with the “Bunco Babes”. We are blessed to have been a small part of your moms life. We shared a lot of laughs, fun and more importantly, such great memories that will be with us always. She is now our Bunco Angel and party planner forever. Hugs.

Deb was such a bright spot in our day when she would stop by the office to see Jen and always such fun at the various get-togethers. While I didn’t know her very well or for very long, her loss is so deeply felt and I truly adored and loved her. Such a wonderful and beautiful person. My love and prayers go out to Harry and Jen and your families. She would be so thrilled to know you are celebrating her zest for life and the way that you’re honoring her memory. So much love to you all! -Sarah Bunton

I loved Debra with all of my heart. We have been on SO many fun trips together over the last….almost 30 years. She is the only person I know that would wake up everyday singing “It’s a beautiful morning…..”. Everyone she ever knew will miss her because she made everyone feel so special. I will miss you, but a part of us is still together, because you took a part of me with you.

Debra Osborne says
I was so shocked and sad to hear of Debra’s passing. She was my best friend through many years of grade school, junior high and high school. Life has a way of separating us through miles, but not our hearts. I was looking forward to reconnecting with her, after my own husband of 42 years passed away four years ago. She was very much loved and will be missed.
