Debra Smith, 54, passed on the January 3rd, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana after battling Acute Liver Failure.
Debra was born in Helena, Montana on January 6th, 1967 to Sandra Owens and Larry Beaver. She graduated from school and headed to Utah, where she had two daughters, Collette Finn and Mallory Fetman. A few years later in life, she would move to Arizona and have two sons, Zackary Smith and Justin Smith and not too long after, she would have her third and final daughter, Abby Rose. Debra moved up to Helena, Montana again around 2009, where she would settle down and live out the rest of her life with her two sons and two cats. Debra was infatuated by and could often be found with horses, cats or watching the sunset and the stars that followed.
Debra was known by many people from a lot of places and experiences, but one truth that was always evident was how she was known for her kindness and compassion. Every day, Debra always tried to bring forth a smile to every experience and her laugh was always the most contagious in the room. She never stopped striving to do better, and those who knew her would do the same thanks to her influence.
As almost any person who knew her could tell you, she was infatuated by horses and cats, two animals she loved without end. Debra also loved to watch the sunsets and gaze out into the stars, looking for meteors and shooting stars in the rich, vast expanse of space. Some of her favorite hobbies included horseback riding, gardening, getting together with family and friends, meteor watching, photography and playing the odd game here and there with company.
Debra is survived by her mother and father, Sandra Owens and Larry Beaver, her brother Robert Young as well as her two sons and three daughters, Justin Smith, Zack Smith, Abby Rose, Collette Finn, and Mallory Fetman.
A memorial service for Debra is planned for the Summer of 2022 at Memorial Park of Helena, Montana.
