“Gram,” Dorothy Delores Grandahl Logan, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Cremation has taken place.
Dorothy was born on August 6, 1929 on a train about 10 miles out of Plentywood, MT. As Marj just had her baby, she tapped the lady in front of her on the shoulder and said “I just had a baby,” worried she would cry and disturb others in the coach.
Dorothy married Loren Logan in 1946 and together they had six children.
Dorothy was quite the cook. She always looked forward to serving her homemade jerky, sausage, and lefsa to her kids and grandchildren upon arrival. Grandkids and adults alike came from as far away as Florida to have her homemade Maple Sticks.
Dorothy loved to be in the mountains on hunting trips holding down the camp. When she laid her rifle down, her favorite past time was fishing. She loved her pets and always made time for a game of Yahtzee or Wisk.
Dorothy had a large family with 50 grandkids at her time of passing. Her kids, and their kids were the light of her life. She is survived by three of her six children, Linda (Lonnie) Logan of Havre, MT, James (Debbie) Logan of Havre, MT, and Rick Logan of Helena, MT.
She was preceded in passing by her parents Aldean and Marj; sisters, Carrie Johnson, Alene “Sissy” Grandahl; her brother, Marlin; and three daughters, Patti, Faye, and Sonja.
Gram, we love and will miss you forever. Your memories will never be forgotten. Enjoy your eternal peace.
In my special goodbyes to you, Thank You so much for the last four years with you Mom. I have cherished the love and will hold on to you forever. See you again Mom. Love, your son, Rick Logan.
