Dottie was born August 29, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and attended school there. Dottie was a cheerleader and a majorette at her local high school. Dottie married James “Andy” R. Anderson at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Cape Girardeau on Nov. 24, 1954. Her husband, Andy, enlisted in the Air Force in 1951. This was the start of her travels from base to base. She held a job as a bank teller while they were in Guam and later was a bank teller in Great Falls Mt. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Mike, Mark, and Matt. She held several jobs over the years while being a full time mom, Air Force wife, and a loving friend to all.
After Andy’s retirement, they moved to their mountain retreat 25 miles southwest of Augusta, Mt. There they ran a dude ranch called the Diamond Bar X. They lived there for more than 18 years, but because of ill health they moved to Cascade, Mont. in 1996. There they found a great family of friends. The city of Cascade embraced Dottie as if she was a member of their family. She became an adopted “mom”, “sister”, “grandma” ,”Great Grandma” as well as a friend for life. In her own words “Thank you Cascade!”. It is said that the more one loves a memory, the stronger it becomes. Let us all love the many memories we cherish of Dottie.
Survivors include her sons Michael (Luanne) Anderson of Billings, Mark (Jody) Anderson of Lockwood, and Matthew (Elizabeth) Anderson of Lancaster, Calif.; 16 grandchildren- Krista, Traci, Bryce, Rowdy, Carrie, Markee, Zachary, Jacob, Sarah, Aaron, Kristi, Kelsey, Rachel, Olivia, Cole, Miall; nine great-grandchildren- Katie, Brianna, Mariya, Micayla, Caydence, William, Teagen, Hayden, and Rylan; and his nearest and dearest friends Tom and Laurie Gilleon of Cascade, Mont.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Stockmen Bank in Cascade so the family can carry on with Dottie’s tradition of making Easter baskets for the kids of Cascade.

Russ & Linda Say says
To Dottie’s family – we are so very sorry for your loss, Dottie was such a neat lady. We both worked with her back in the “Central Bank” days and I was on a bowling team with her at Little’s. She was a hard worker and always had such a cheery disposition; and she loved her family. Although we cannot make the service on Sat. you will be in our thoughts and prayers. God bless – Russ & Linda Say
