Evaleen Weter who died on May 8, 2015 was born June 26, 1922 in Newark, Missouri. Her parents, Leslie and Marie Levengood came to Butte, Montana from Missouri when Evaleen was an infant. She received her early education in the Butte schools and graduated from Butte High School. She took post graduate courses in Business Administration._x000D_
Evaleen married Julian M. Weter January 6, 1941 and moved to Browning, Montana where Julian ranched. She was employed by the First National Bank at Browning for 20 years. After retiring from her position at the bank she was employed for the next 11 years as Business Administrator for the Browning School District #9. The Weters sold their ranch holdings in 1979 and retired to Bigfork._x000D_
Evaleen was a supporter of the Village Square Art and Cultural Center in Bigfork and was a patron of the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts. She was a member of the Kalispell Church of Christ, the Bigfork Lady Lions, Flathead Lake Chapter #128 Order of Eastern Star, and the Bigford Development Corporation._x000D_
She is survived by sisters Wilma Burke of Helena and Carol Hall of Glen Allen, Virginia and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers and her husband, Julian. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bigfork Quick Response, 810 Grand Ave, Bigfork, MT for the charity of your choice. A private burial will take place at Lone Pine Cemetery at Bigfork.
