In Memory Of

Franklin Scott Liggett

January 13, 1940 – March 29, 2015

Franklin Scott Liggett, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2015. Scott was born January 13, 1940 in El Dorado, KS to William F. and Catherine Edwards Liggett. He grew up on a ranch near Rosalia, KS and attended Rosalia schools. He graduated in 1958._x000D_
He owned and operated Liggett Communications for a number of years. He later worked for Wal-Mart in both Helena, MT and El Dorado, KS, retiring in 2006. Scott was united in marriage to Virginia Diane Lowmaster on August 24, 1985. They became foster parents in July 1987. Over the next 20 years, they welcomed over 250 children in their home._x000D_
Scott’s hobbies included flying, photography, wood working, target shooting, hunting, and fishing, camping out with the kids, electronics and fiddling with his car. He was also a genuine “Mr. Gadget Man”. He was a true student of the Bible and loved thinking of questions to discuss with anyone else who enjoyed studying._x000D_
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Kathryn, and brother-in-law Gene Lynn. He is survived by his wife, Diane Lowmaster Liggett; his children, Susanne Anderson, Leann Hartzell, Jennifer (Jeremy) Hockett, Dustin (Meredith) Storm, Greg (Toni) Storm, Katrina (Michael) Noffsinger, Rose Liggett, Kevin Liggett, Charlie Liggett, Tiffani Liggett, Katie Liggett and special daughter Susan (James) Shinkle. He also leaves behind sister Judy Lynn, brother Mike (Susan) Liggett, 26 grandchildren, one great grandson, several cousins, and many nieces and nephews._x000D_
In lieu of flowers, Scott’s family is requesting donations to Montana Special Olympics, or the purchase of S.O.M.T. raffle tickets. This will enable his 3 youngest children to participate in the state Special Olympics in Missoula this May. _x000D_
