George and his family have requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Denver Fisher House, 1954 N. Quentin Street, Aurora CO 80045. Fisher House is a place for Veteran’s families to stay while their service member/Veteran is being treated for medical conditions in Denver. George was very grateful for them when he had major surgery performed in Denver in 2008. It was a charity dear to his heart. _x000D_
We as a family wanted to deviate from the standard obituary to highlight the support we have received from so many. Cancer does not impact only the patient with the condition. The number of individuals it touches when one person is diagnosed, is staggering. We wanted to express our gratitude to the numerous people who joined us in this journey. Dave Schatz and the employees of Grizzly Diesel, you guys are truly the best, we are forever grateful. The staff of the Helena SurgiCenter, your support was priceless, easing our burden tremendously. Dr. Shari Marx and Dr. Bronson White of the Ft. Harrison Veteran’s Hospital. Your dedication to the Veterans of Montana under your care is more than commendable, you were the anchors in the madness that is cancer. And, of course, Laura. We will never forget your cheery face and upbeat art. Chuck Vitullo you are special in our hearts. Ray Baugh, who is always with us. The staff of Frontier Home Health and Hospice, Celeste, Shanna, Jackie, Diane and Paul. George could not have asked for better care. Neil Young, who was always a phone call away. A continuing guide, friend and teacher in George’s spiritual growth and journey. John “Stubby” Williams, George’s ‘battle buddy’ in Iraq and once again here at home. Sue Vitullo and Darla Towers, you were great listeners, we thank you. Tom Reilly, one of George’s longest friendships dating back to elementary school. He was so glad to be able to stay in contact all these years. The Veterans of the United States Army Security Agency groups, the support you provided Charlotte especially, was more than you could ever realize. JD Dahl, thank you for being a phone call away. You truly have a place in our hearts. Special thanks and love to Roslyn Chastain of Woodstock, Georgia. You have remained a friend and supporter for well into 4 decades and you were there once again. We are forever grateful. Pastor David Klass of Friendship Baptist Church, your visits were so meaningful. Your ministry confirmed and nurtured George’s faith in the Lord. Pastor Cathy Barker, your joy in the Lord is truly infectious. It was a pleasure to have you with our family on this journey._x000D_

To all the Dahl Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. I remember George as a quite, shy classmate of the class of 1979; but he would surprise us all with a witty remark or passing comment that always cheered the heart. I’m so thankful that George had spiritual mentors that confirmed his faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ, and that he is now walking the streets of gold.

Isaiah 25:8
He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.
At this sad time, may Jehovah God comfort you and your family and help to take away your pain and sorrow.
