James Burtch passed away January 4 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center. He was born to Alice and Earl Burtch on April 27, 1928. He joined two brothers Earl and Edward and sister Mary Alice at the family homestead in Deep Creek. _x000D_

In 1957 he married Dorothy Hellman. Together the had 4 children, Cathy, Robert, Dolores, and Vickie. He also had 5 grandchildren David, Derek, Stephanie, Thane, and Cassandra. Seven great grand children and as many grand dogs and cats._x000D_

Jim spent most of his life driving truck for himself, during the 70s he was one of the original Ice Road truckers. He loved to fish on Canyon Ferry Lake as well as Deep Creek._x000D_

He will be remembered for his quick whitty comebacks and sense of humor. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and would be a friend forever._x000D_

James will be missed by many._x000D_

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his youngest daughter Vickie. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Townsend and children Cathy of Fort Benton, Robert and Dolores of Townsend. His grand children, great grand children numerous nieces and nephews._x000D_
