To Carmen, and to each now grown-up child—-Nanita, Mike, and Janet:
How we treasure the memories of our visits to our house in Great Falls when you came to town from ‘up da creek’ !! And of your hospitality and invitations to dinners as we visited you at your home on the Missouri. Of special significance was your attendance at our surprise 50th anniversary in June 2012 at the Going’s and the whole bunch came even from Australia! Your presence made it even that much more so when it was a huge effort to get into town for an evening surprise! And then you invited all the Shelden kids and their kids for a bbq at your river digs. Our Aussie kids were just enthralled with your hospitality and friendliness. What joyous times.
I know how hard this time of adjustment is —and even more so because of the timing of the loss of Jim. My heart goes out to you with my prayers to surround you may each of you be comforted by the peace of God and enveloped in His love and Presence as you make this journey. I pray that none of you get stuck at any point as you journey through the grieving process and may you arrive at the point of acceptance and peace.
