James Charles “Jim” Whitehead passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2016, in Helena, Montana, at the age of 64 after being courageous enough to battle cancer head on knowing he would lose.
Jim is survived by his wife Brenda (Brengman) of Helena and his son Nicholas of Portland, Oregon, stepson Tyler Krappitz of Helena, stepdaughter Terra Logue, grandson Anthony Logue both of Sheridan, Illinois.
Jim would not have battled as he did without the help of his Hospice Team, Celeste, Robyn and Paul whom he grew to love deeply, and his weekly visits from his dear friends, Rick and Connie and the Fact guys Lyle and Tom, you all were deeply appreciated by him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Loraine “DiDi” in 1982 and his father Donald Eugene in 1985.
Jim was born on Dec. 6, 1952, in Bozeman, Montana, to Donald and Loraine Whitehead. He graduated from Montana State University in 1976 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
In his younger years Jim was a member of Student Council and active in Student Government. Jim was an avid “Cat” fan, a member of the Loyal Order of Raccoons, after being involved in Politics, Jim followed in his fathers footsteps in the automobile business.
