In Memory Of

Janice L. Halverson

April 24, 1940 – September 22, 2017

Janice L. Halverson

On September 22, 2017 Janice went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born in Ontario, Oregon on April 24, 1940, to parents, Clarence and Lois Page.

After graduating from Ontario High School, she worked for Western Union and later for the F.B.I. in Portland, Oregon. During her life she developed a love for art and enhanced this skill by attending art school and also took many art classes.

Her work career included the above jobs, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Forest Service in Montana in three locations, Whitefish, Coram, and Kalispell. She retired in 1995.

Her family career consisted of her marriage to the love of her life, Duane Halverson in 1960. Jan gave birth to their first daughter, Debbie Kathleen, in 1961. Debbie lived only six weeks being called by the Lord to his kingdom. Their second daughter, Michele, was born in 1964 and their son, Brent, was born in 1967.

Not only was Jan taking care of house and home, but, she was earning her P.H.T. (putting hubby through) degree (which meant putting her husband, Duane, through the University of Montana.)

In 1967, Jan and the family traveled to Olds, Alberta, Canada and in 1970, to Whitefish, Montana for Duane’s teaching career.

Jan’s family included a sister Myrna and husband Drexell Barnes in Payette, Idaho; a brother, Jerry Page in Burns, Oregon; a daughter Michele, son-in-law Bradley, and granddaughters Carlie and Noelle Senner of Kalispell, MT; and son Brent and wife Carrie Halverson and granddaughter Quincey and grandson Kyler of Helena, MT.

Of her interests and affections she had, the most important was the Lord Jesus Christ and service Him in His Church. With this gentle spirit and kindness to all, she will be sorely missed.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, 5 Jack Farm Road, Townsend, with services starting at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Deep Creek Cemetery.
