Len and I are sad to lose such a valuable person in Helena’s art world. Joe worked countless hours throughout his life to promote the arts. He left behind a wonderful asset however, his family who continues his passion for the arts! Love to you from Concetta & Len

Liz and family, I so enjoyed having Joe a part of Friday morning “Read Aloud” at Son Heaven. He and I would talk afterward about our memories of my Mom and early days in Helena. I will miss him. Love and condolences to you, Carol Weeks Hanson

Liz and family, I was so sad to hear about your dad’s passing. I have fond memories of your dad and mom. My parents ( Lillian and Dan Dykstra) had fun times with them during their college days, and growing up here in Helena. I enjoyed their live for art and books and learning more from them. Prayers for you and your family…….Kathy Dykstra Smith

What a guy! Always “up”. Always with energy for his friends, his art and the art of others. Supportive and full of words of appreciation. Hospitable, open, the more friends the better. Constantly learning. A peaceful leaving, surrounded by love.
He left an indelible mark on this community and will be missed by me and many many others. A remarkable life that inspires us. Rest in Peace Joe. Condolences to Lz and Rick and Richard, other family and close friends of all ages. Much love abides.

Liz, Rick and Richard,
We were sorry to learn of Joe’s death. He and Marg had a huge impact on the arts in Helena over the decades, and they left a huge legacy. He was one if the friendliest people around, greeting people with a warm smile and great conversations. He and Marg were good friends with my parents going back to college days. Our sympathies.
