Our Son will never be forgotten
Jonathan Carl Nelson was born in Maryvale, Arizona close to Phoenix, March 13, 1980 to John and Karla Nelson. When we brought him home his sister didn’t know what to think but quickly became the proudest big sister ever! When he could talk until he was almost an adult he called her Tultsie. (Leslie actually but he made up his own way to say it and it stuck) Jonathan grew up with his family on a traveling carnival. When he was a kid we moved from Phoenix to Las Vegas then to Montana. Most of his childhood, when he wasn’t traveling on the carnival, was spent in Kalispell close to his grandparents Carl and Lois Peterson in a wonderful neighborhood full of friends. In 1994 he moved to Billings where he found many great friends and spent a lot of time with his cousins. Jon, Tiny, Dave and Sam were inseparable!
His best move was in 2010 when he moved to East Helena. He felt at home here, he had countless friends and felt like he belonged more than ever. He truly enjoyed everything Helena had to offer. He loved the outdoors! He loved motorcycle riding, boating, camping, having adventures or just hanging out. When he wasn’t playing and hanging out with friends he found his calling and took a great amount of pride in being a glazier for Frontline Glass. His tremendous work ethic and drive made him one of their most valuable guys. His legacy is all around. When we go by spectacular buildings like the Blue Cross Blue Shield, First Interstate Bank, Crowley Fleck and many many more we can remember him and the pride he took in his work.
Jon’s life motto: Work hard, play hard!
Jon we will remember you for all the love you gave us and as a fun loving, thoughtful and caring, hard working guy that just wanted everyone to have as much fun as you. Our hearts are broken and we will miss you forever Jon Boy!
The bible promises us in Psalms 34:18 that
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed is spirit.
