On August 29, 2016 with her husband and daughter by her side Joyce left this world to join her son, Bobby, parents Gordon and Esther Jones and her lord in heaven. Joyce was born April 2, 1938 in Great Falls, Montana. She met her husband Bob while on a double date with a friend. The date wasn’t going well so Bob offered to drive her home. He asked for her number, started calling and stopping by. They were married two weeks later in Fort Benton. From then on their journey of 54 years together began. They had 3 children. Joyce’s first priority were her kids. For many years she was a stay at home mom raising her children. As her kids grew up Joyce joined the work force doing various jobs including head salad chef at Carroll College, secretary at Elk River Concrete, and finally retiring as supervising operator at the Helena Federal Building. After many years of retirement, her strong love of animals brought her back to work learning to be a vet tech/receptionist at Valley Veterinary for Dr. Tia Nelson. Due to health problems she was forced to retire once again. Joyce loved her husband, kids, friends and animals but most of all she loved the Lord. She was a very active member of the First Assembly of God. She had a close group of friends she attended Bible Study with. Between her many health problems and the loss of her son Bobby she walked with the Lord and kept her faith in him. She is survived by her husband Carl (Bob) Golie of Helena, Murphy/spoiled dog, son Ron/Sheila Golie of Rogers, Arkansas, daughter DeAnne/Ed Maronick of Alpine, Wyoming, brother Wayne Jones of Clancy, Montana, sister Donna Wilson of Greenville, South Carolina and many grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday September 2, 2016 at 1:30 at the First Assembly of God.

I am so sorry to hear of Joyce’s death though she is for sure with no pain today and I’m thankful for that. May Gods peace and love be with Bob and her family. Joyce was a wonderful friend and would do anything for you. She went with me to Seattle to be with my husband when he had a heart attack.. This was the kind of person she was and she will be greatly missed. I loved her and am waiting to see her again someday.

I was Blessed to study the Bible on Wednesdays with Joyce. She was such an example of living daily with faith even through all her health issues. She had a great sense of humor and positive outlook. There will be a void and an empty chair but we have lots of fond memories. At last Joyce – rest in His arms. Love, Paula Chapman
