Laurence Mayotte, 80, of Helena passed away January 6 at home after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure. Larry was born August 4, 1934 to Laurence and Grace (Sieger) in Cudahy, Wisconsin. He graduated from high school at Cudahy. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. Larry was a service technician, from appliances to heating and air conditioning.
He married Nancy Brabant, of Oconto, WI, on June 6, 1980 while they were on vacation in Bozeman. They moved to Helena in February of 1982.
He is preceded in death by his parents and former wife Joan.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of Helena; five children Craig (Linda) Mayotte, Pulaski, WI; Christopher Mayotte, DePere, WI; Linda Skarda, Green Bay, WI; Renee Walker, DePere, WI; and Laureen (Jim) Hayden, Glendale, AZ . He is also survived by his sisters June (George) Schulz, Cudahy, WI and Suzette (Roger) Hulgan, Crossville, TN, and his brother Richard Mayotte, Cudahy, WI; nephews, Johnny, George Jr., and Scott; nieces, Lynette and Jenny; and 10 grandchildren. He will also be missed and survived by Nancy’s siblings, Terry (Chris) Brabant, Jeffrey (Kandy) Brabant, Jerry Brabant, all of Oconto, WI, Jim (Cindy) Brabant, Green Bay, WI, and, Connie (Rueben) Boevers, Lakeville, MN, Cindy (Bob) Boehm, Oconto, WI.

Larry loved fishing for trophy Musky in the lakes of northern Wisconsin. He loved hunting big game in Montana. He was also an avid Nascar fan.
The family would like to thank Dr. Pincomb and her staff, the staff at the VA Hospital, especially Beth Sirr, and the folks in the dialysis unit at St. Peter’s.

I remember when we came out to Helena on our family vacation and uncle Larry took us to the small beach near his house and we slept iniside the camper. He showed us the mail car with the whheel on the other side and we thought it was awesome. Wish we could have come out again, 12 was too long.
