Linda F. Culbertson Dallas passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2014 with her family by her side and bringing an end to her four year battle with cancer.
Linda was born February 10, 1943 in Centralia, WA. She grew up and attended grade school in Fort Benton and East Helena and graduated from Helena High School with the Class of 1961.
The very best part of Linda’s life was her marriage to Don and raising their four children on the family ranch.
Linda lived a life she loved ranching and being a mother. As an avid horsewoman, she was one of the founding members of the Big Sky Sapphires Mounted Drill Team. Linda was a big supporter of the Canyon Creek Stock 4-H Club and the Lewis & Clark County 4-H Program. She so enjoyed watching all of her children and grandchildren succeed in 4-H in both Montana and Nebraska. When she wasn’t doing something for her kids she could be found curled up reading a book. Linda was also a wonderful cook as many could attest to over the years.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, an older brother, Art, and a younger sister, Rose.
Linda leaves behind her husband Don of Canyon Creek; son Curt (Kim) Dallas of East Helena; daughter Jeanine (Roger) Lange of Crofton, NE.; sons Dan (Cindy) Dallas and Bob (Lisa McCarthy) Dallas both of Helena; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Linda is also survived by her sister Cathryn (Cliff) Evans; and brother’s Harry (Donna) Culbertson and Butch Casey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Linda had requested that no services be held. Linda’s family will gather for one last good bye and her ashes will be spread on the ridge overlooking the family ranch. A gathering and celebration of Linda with friends and family will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Linda’s name to the Montana 4-H Foundation, 111 Taylor Hall, Bozeman, MT., 59717.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Big Sky Cremations.
