Lorna Campbell passed away at her home on May 17, 2017 after a long struggle with cancer. She was active and independent until the last day of her life. Lorna was born February 16, 1937 to parents Bill and Daphne Haab. She lived in Clancy through high school, with her childhood friends and sister, Babe, she frequented the Clancy Social Spuds, the post office, and the Clancy store, which her father Bill was part owner. She attended Jefferson High and Kinman Business College in Spokane.
Lorna worked for the State of Montana for most her adult life. Lorna’s life changed when she met the love of her life, Bud, at a dance in Winston. He was late for the second date, but he did make it and they never looked back. They married July 14, 1957. Bud and Lorna were always together. They loved to camp and spent many days in summer traveling Montana. Lorna loved to cook excellent camp dinners. She would even buy supplies when Bud wasn’t looking. They also enjoyed going south in the winter. Lorna and Bud had a long and special relationship; they lived in the same house in East Helena for most of their marriage.
Lorna loved her God Jehovah. One of her favorite scriptures was Jeremiah 29:11, “I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope.” This meant so much to Lorna, she hoped in the promise when the Earth will be paradise and Jesus will rule over mankind as King. And now Lorna asleep in death, awaits the hope of the resurrection when she will be young again and she will be with her love Bud again. And together they will help bring the Earth back to the paradise condition Jehovah promised.
We loved Lorna and we will miss her.
Lorna is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bud, and nephew Kim.
Lorna is survived by her sister Babe (Pete) Hanna, nephews, Kelly (Pam), Kip (Robin), Kerry, and Kory (Tara).
Services are being held at 6:30 p.m., Friday June 2, 2017, at the Colonial Drive Kingdom Hall.

Oh Pete and family, I just found out about Lorna’s passing. My deepest sympathy to you all. Oh, how I remember what fun we had in living in Clancy in our younger days. I think we were so blessed to have had a childhood like we did. I’ll always remember Lorna and Bud dancing in Winston. They were meant for each other as one could see. I love you and all of your family. God bless and please let me know if I can do anything. Peace,
Shirley Price Cole.
