In Memory Of

Marion Savage, age 60 of Helena

December 22, 1962 – December 6, 2023

Marion Savage Jr. (aka Spider or Junior), beloved husband, and cherished member of the Helena community, passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 60. Marion’s life was a testament to his unwavering passion for the great outdoors and his dedication to both his career and his family.

Born in Moses Lake, Washington, Marion’s adventurous spirit blossomed early in life. His love for the outdoors became a lifelong pursuit that brought him immeasurable joy. Whether it was casting a line into a tranquil stream or tracking game in the woods, Marion found solace and happiness in nature’s embrace along with watching his beloved Cincinnati Reds.
Professionally, Marion excelled as a dedicated manager at Costco for 37 years, where his strong work ethic and leadership skills made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the company. His commitment to excellence and integrity set a remarkable standard for those around him.

Yet, Marion’s greatest pride and joy were found in his friends and family. He shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Cindy, who stood by his side through life’s joys and challenges. Their partnership was a source of strength and support, creating a loving home filled with warmth and laughter.

Marion’s memory will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Cindy, Mother Shirley, Brothers David and Johnnie, Sister Glenda; his children Linda, Kirsta, Cody, and Jasmine; grandchildren Taylyn, Brayden, Layton, Kanyn, Lukas, Reese, and Azalea; along with countless friends and colleagues. Marion is also preceded in death by his brother Andy and father Marion L Savage. His legacy lives on through the memories of his adventures in the wilderness, his dedication to his profession, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to have known him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation in Marion’s honor, https://www.pcf.org , 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica CA 90401 A celebration of Marion’s life will be held at the Missouri River Brewery on Saturday, December 16th from 3-8 pm, open to everyone who wishes to come and gather to honor the remarkable man he was and the indelible mark he left on all of our lives. Spider
Why my friend, why my friend?
Last talked when you left Maine.
    God I hurt for you
I love you, and forever in soul.

A little story of one trip Junior took me and his son Cody on. One of my first trips to Montana we went Huckleberry hunting we found a nice patch and I was picking away. Junior being the prankster disappeared and snuck up and gave what I believed to be an amazing Bear impression. I am a city person and almost jumped out of my boots in panic!!! We had a good laugh afterward. My condolences to his family so sorry for your loss.
