Marty (Marwood Demond) Miller passed away Sunday 2/8/15 after a long battle with liver cancer. He was born to Jack and Edna Miller on 9/11/61 in Helena. He attended Helena area schools and graduated from Helena High School in 1979. Marty worked various jobs in the Helena area but his favorite was being a sawyer and logging.
Marty loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing wildlife pictures and giving them to family and friends. His latest interest was in cutting agates and making lamps and wind chimes using them.
Marty was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his sisters Carla (Tom) Smith and Twyla Bush, nephews Tom (Katie) Smith, Tim (Leslie) McEwen, Travis (Melissa) McEwen and nieces Shannon (Shaun) Gardner and Kelly (Chris) Hueth. He has five great nieces and three great nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Marty’s family wish to express their heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care he received from Dr. Justin Thomas, The Cancer Treatment Center and Hospice of St. Peters. Your valiant efforts made it possible for Marty to spend his last few days at home with family.
We all love you Marty and will greatly miss your smile.
