Mary Ellen Holida, 75, died July 16, 2013, ending her battle with Alzheimer’s disease, on to a new beautiful journey in heaven._x000D_
She was born December 28, 1936, to Fred and Helen Guse of Desmet, South Dakota. Mary married her soul mate Harold Holida on March 20, 1955. She enjoyed being a devoted housewife and loving mother of three, Dallas Holida, Darla Russell, and Dawn Morris. Her husband and her enjoyed square-dancing, playing organ, and spending time with her family and friends. Loved caring for others and many other self-less hobbies, church events, and most of all loving Jesus!_x000D_
Mary was greeted in heaven by her parents, Fred and Helen; her husband, Harold; and son Dallas. Mary is survived by two of her children, Darla Russell and Dawn Morris; brother, Robert Guse; and treasured gradchildren, Jon Eric Huber, Brandon Harris, Amanda Harris, Gabriella Morris, Savannah Morris, David Morris, Jacob Morris, and Sarah Morris._x000D_
A special thanks to all who helped care for Mary during her struggle, Neighborhood Assembly of God, Renaissance Senior Care, Rocky Mountain Hospice, and many dear family and friends. Mary will be missed, but each of us should look forward to seeing her soon!_x000D_
Mary will be laid to rest with her husband, Harold, at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 2001 South Cliff Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD._x000D_

Our sympathy to your family. Mary was a sweet lady, she helped out alot when our youngest son was born. She loved babies. I spent many hours with her when Chuck worked for Harold. Our prayers to all.

Remembering you mom and dad when they lived in canistota , brings back many memories of the farm center, gas station,etc. My brother ,gary johannsen worked for your dad for many years. your mom was so good to him. he is gone now ,too.
