Nancy Jean Loendorf, age 64, died peacefully at her home on Sept. 25, 2018 outside of Helena, MT of Pancreatic Cancer.
Nancy was born May 6, 1954 in Livingston, MT, the 4th of 5 children of Paul Vernon Loendorf, and Gladys Hazel (Sala) Loendorf.
Nancy attended Bishop Gilmore Grade School, and Cathedral High School in Helena, MT, and Wolf Point High School in Wolf Point, MT. She worked as a Computer Programmer for 17 years for Buttrey Foods, Deaconess Hospital and finally Energy West in Great Falls until opening F&L Pet Resort in Great Falls in 1987 with her partner, Phyllis Fennell. Under the guidance of Gene and Doris Hodges she got into dog training, and showed in Competitive Obedience, and taught dog obedience classes. Nancy retired in April 2015, and moved to Helena where she got back into her passion of horses and riding.
She was preceded by her parents; brother Don Loendorf, sister Alice Pope, and very close friend Phyllis Fennell. She is survived by her sister Sue (Ed) Standley, of Helena, and brother Dennis (Debby) Loendorf of Wolf Point, MT. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews who loved her very much!
At Nancy’s request no services are planned. Family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate Nancy’s life. Contributions in Nancy’s name may be made to Helena Horse Rescue at 8303 Evergreen Drive, Helena, MT 59602.
