On Saturday, May 6, 2017, our beloved mother, Patti Ann Nyland, unexpectedly passed away peacefully of natural causes. Patti was 65 years old.
Patti was born on July 28, 1951, in Plentywood, MT. She was the third child of Loren Logan and Dorothy Johnson. Patti made her life in the Helena area and later moved to East Helena where she raised her two children, Donnette and Brian. She spent her career caring for people for over 30 years at several locations, including St. Peter’s Hospital.
Patti was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her dedicating her life to her two children, she loved caring for her home and took pride in her yard. Throughout her life, she mastered the skill of stretching every dollar. Some of her hobbies included doing projects in and outside of her home, gathering with family and friends, which brought joy to her heart, playing Yahtzee, and gardening. Patti took pride in keeping her home in immaculate condition. However, her most pride and joy was her three granddaughters, three grandsons, two great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters. Her loved ones and friends always enjoyed her delicious cooking and treats. This was part of her selfless nature and giving spirit.
Patti was preceded in death by her father Loren Logan and her sister Faye Lamere.
Patti is survived by her mother, Dorothy Johnson; her brothers, Jim and Rick Logan; her sisters, Linda Logan and Tami Johnson; her daughter, Donnette Nyland of Brooksville, FL; her son, Brian Nyland (Angela) of Meridian, ID; her grandchildren, Cailee Poelman of Pensacola, FL; Keisha Ramirez (Josh) of Conroe, TX; Cerissa Poelman of Istachatta, FL; Austin Nyland of Boise, ID; Kyler Nyland and Zachary Nyland both of Meridian, ID; her great-grandchildren Jaileigh Poelman, Mykah and Tysen Ramirez, Paislee Poelman, and Adley Patti Ann Alford.
Graveside services will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery, 3818 Highway 12 East, East Helena, MT on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Patti’s life will immediately follow at Residence Inn Marriott, 2500 East Custer Avenue, Helena, MT.
Arrangements were provided by Big Sky Cremation. Online condolences can be left on Patti Nyland’s Memorial Tribute at www.helenafunerals.com.
