Rose Charlotte Hagerty
April 23, 1940 – April 27, 2024
Rose passed away peacefully in the late afternoon of April 27, 2024, at her home of 80+ years in Corbin, MT due to health issues. She was born on April 23, 1940, to William and Maxine (Tax) Bridges. Here she joined big sister Eleanor (Pic) whom did everything together until Pic’s untimely death at 10 years of age.
She attended grade school at Clancy Elementary and graduated in 1958 from Jefferson County High School in Boulder. She worked for the State of Montana in the Legislature for a couple of years and then met the love of her life Ronald James Hagerty. They were married on March 3, 1961, in the home of her parents in Corbin, MT.
On December 17, 1961, they welcomed their first son Daniel. After a brief stay in Helena and Manhattan, MT they made their way back to Corbin to settle down. Three more children were soon to follow, Clinton (1964), Rhonda (1965), and Curtis (1967). Rose became a full-time mother and homemaker, making sure her family was taken care of. She was always there to attend a school activity, sporting event, boy scouts, and everything in between while supporting her family. After the kids got older Rose decided to go back to work part-time with Ron at the Phone Company in Helena.
In 1987 her first grandchild (Amanda) was born. Then along came Michael, Cody, Jessica, Ashley, Kelsey, Lila, and Aubrey. She loved every moment of being a grandmother and loved them all so dearly. Then came the great grandkids which gave her a new title of “Gigi”. She loved attending their sporting events and birthday parties.
Rose enjoyed shopping, car/motorcycle trips, cooking, coffee and conversation with friends, getting her hair done, red lipstick, gambling with Lois (aka Thelma & Louise), and spending time with family.
Rose is survived by her four children. Dan (Lola) Hagerty of Whitehall, Clint (Anna) Hagerty of Idaho Falls, Rhonda Craft of Boulder, and Curt Hagerty of Billings. Grandchildren Amanda (Nate) Hagerty of Gardner, Michael (Laura) Craft of Helena, Cody (Jessica) Hagerty of Whitehall, Jessica Craft of Boulder, Ashley (Kyle) Perry of Idaho, Kelsey Hagerty of Idaho, Lila (Michael) Chase of Billings, and Aubrey Hagerty of Billings. Great-Grandkids, Azlynn, Loxley, Brantley, Aiden, Amlee, Akelis, and Parker and numerous cousins and friends.
She is preceded by her parents, sister Eleanor (Pic), husband Ron, son-in-law Daryl “DD” Craft and numerous family members, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A special thank you to Lois and Marj Reilly for always being such great friends and being there for her. Thank you to Lauren and Taylor of Benefis Home Health for giving her the care she needed to remain at home,
Until We Meet Again Mom, Grandma, Gigi. We Love You.

Rose & I were room mates with our first born babies in the old St. Pete’s hospital in Helena and had sent Christmas cards until this past year. We talked into the night with little space between. Enjoyed her a lot.
