Roselyn shared her entry into the world with her twin brother Robert Berry. Roselyn was affectionately known as “Pinky”, a nickname that her Irish heritage helped to create: A redhead with skin that would “pink” up from laughter or the sun.
Roselyn was native to Helena, living and working in Helena most of her life. Roselyn enjoyed life in Helena with her three brothers who kept her on her toes. Keeping up with her brothers, Roselyn was an athlete who graduated in 1941 from Helena High School. She participated in many High School activities: Tumbling, Basketball, Volleyball Tennis, Field Hockey Baseball, Archery, Athletic Pageant, H-Club, Drum Majorette, Student Council, Vigilante Staff, H-Club recorder, Chairman of Constitutional Committee for School. She was All Start basketball and Softball. She was active is student council and was a drum majorette. After graduation, she became a telephone operator at “MA Bell” and retired in 1978. She was active in the Helena Community, continued to help organize class reunions, and kept connected with her classmates. Roselyn was a 75 + year member of Easter Star. Roselyn was a woman ahead of her time, a kind and selfless young lady who had her supported the Helena Community. She worked towards her goals and owned her own car before she was married.
Roselyn married Ed Kitts after being introduced by her twin Bob Berry. Ed and his best friend Bob were driving down the street and Ed spotted a pretty little red head with great legs and told Bob “I’d sure like to meet that!” Bob said OK and pulled over while Ed protested and couldn’t believe what Bob was doing. He called out to the red head and introduced Ed to his twin sister Roselyn Berry. Two months later Ed and Roselyn were married on July 25, 1947. Ed and Roselyn made the most of nearly 65 years together and shared their love of life with their three children, David, Lynn and Nancy. She was a devoted and selfless mother and wife. She challenged her children and gently pushed them to grow into aware and connected humans.

Maureen Dineen Fisher says
My Dearest Nancy, David and Lynn,
Please know that my love and prayers are with you.
Your Mother is the last of our first cousins. I loved your Mother as if she were my own. She was such a special, loving and devoted family member and now is finally at rest with the ones she loved the most. She was my Daddy’s favorite niece and he named her his “Wild Irish Rose” the sweetest flower that grows…..I am so very blessed to have known her and been a part of her life. She treasured our relationship as family and treated all of us all with the greatest respect and honor. I am saddened to lose her but, joyous that she is finally in the arms of our Lord and with those that have been waiting for her. Roselyn “Pinky’s” time on this earth was a gift to all of us that were given the time to have her in our lives. We will all be at a loss without her, but holding memories dear to our hearts helps to relieve the sorrow.
Rest in Peace our darling…..our Prayers are with you always.. God Bless you and your family..
Your Cousin and friend,
Maureen Dineen Fisher & family

I am so sorry to hear of Pinky’s passing, although now she is in Heaven and with Ed and not suffering anymore. She was and always will be a beautiful, kind, compassionate friend to many. I got to know PInky when I was Manager of Eagles Manor and continued to see her and give her hugs and encouragement. My Mother, Virginia Russell also lives at Eagles Manor and was a good friend and a bright light to all. I pray that you will receive God’s peace and healing powers. Just know that there are a lot of people who loved and cherished their time with Pinky here on this earth. Our condolences to all of the family and prayers continue for you all. Betty Brewer & Virginia Russell. Love to all!

Sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I remember the kindnesses you, your mom & dad always extended to me as we were growing up here in Helena. I especially remember what a fun time I had at one of your birthday parties when you were living in a wonderful old mansion on Chaucer St.(?)
