Tina Dosen, 92, of Helena passed away February 5, 2015. Tina was born in Wayne, Alberta, Canada, March 24, 1922 and is the last surviving member of six brothers and sisters. She moved with her family to Montana when she as about six years old and lived for a short time on a ranch near Thompson Falls, but she mainly grew up in Butte. Around the start of World War II, she moved to Tacoma Washington and worked as a welder’s helper in the Tacoma shipyards. After the war, she came back to Butte where she met and married Joe Dosen._x000D_
She like to travel and she and her children and their friends spent many a weekend driving around western Montana seeing the sights or looking for a good fishing hole. She always enjoyed bringing her children and nieces and nephews along for the ride. During one such ride past Georgetown Lake in the winter of 1996, she decided to pull the kids on a toboggan behind the car back and forth on the lake ice. They all were laughing and having a great time driving around the lake and over the fishing holes, and when she got back to Butte, her brother had already heard about their escapades and excitedly scolded her for doing such a dangerous thing. But she laughed it off saying how much fun they all had (although she did take his advice to heart and never did it again)._x000D_
Another thing she like to do was call the school office where her children, nieces or nephews attended, say she was their mother and needed to take them out for the rest of the day due to a family emergency, and then take them fishing at Canyon Ferry and the Pot Holes near Alder._x000D_
Late in 1971, she moved to Seattle to be closer to her children, and after working several jobs, decided Seattle wasn’t for them, moved back to Montana, and that’s how she and Joe ended up in Helena._x000D_
She always enjoyed helping Joe at his business, running errands and talking with the customers. Another favorite pastime was going out every morning and having breakfast. She liked a few restaurants around town and was known by name in all of them, but Perkins was her favorite. She always like sitting by the window and watching the traffic go by and saying hello to everyone in the restaurant._x000D_
Tina always liked to have fun in life and she will surely be missed by all who knew her._x000D_
Tina is survived by her four children; her son Joe Dosen, Helena, daughters Darlene Markey and Gynne Seidita, both of Spokane, Wash; son Steve (Lorie) Dosen, Anaconda._x000D_
