In Memory Of

William “Bill” Louis Longacre, age 47 of Helena, MT

September 27, 1977 – April 19, 2025

William (Bill) Louis Longacre passed away unexpectedly Saturday April 19, 2025, at his home in Helena, MT.

Bill was born to Clara Capps on September 27, 1977, in Eugene, OR.  Bill moved to Helena, MT when he was 10 years old.

Bill met his wife, Heather Noel, in 1997.  Together they had 27 years and 4 amazing children.

He was a man of many talents, but his life’s work was anything vehicle related.  In his younger years he jumped back and forth between auto body and engine repair.  Finally, deciding auto body was the favorite, he opened his own body shop at his home in 2009.  He did continue to do the occasional engine rebuild or repair, mostly for his wife.

Bill was a man of undeniable charisma and had a magnetic presence, he made friends easily and was known for the ability to charm and captivate those that met him.   He left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.  He will be truly missed by many people.

Bill is survived by his wife, Heather Noel and their children Derick, Brogan, and Violet Longacre; mother Clara Capps; Roger Knapstad; sister Bridgette Shepherd; mother-in-law Mary Noel; brother and sister in-law Dustin and DeAnna Noel, nieces and nephews Ashleigh, Jordan (Sydney), and Aleks Catlow; Davin and Delia Noel; and many more family that love him dearly.  Bill also left behind some of the most amazing friends one could ever ask for.

Bill was preceded in death by son, Kestin Noel.

Per Bill’s wishes there will not be a service, he will be celebrated by those that love him every day.

Bill was always a special friend in my life! Always calling me his “little sis” and telling the story the night we took the old orange wagon out! He was always there to help me in a vehicle crisis, even putting a big block in my old truck and helping me at the drag races that summer to make sure it was running just right! To say he will be missed is an understatement! Raise hell up there Bill!
To Heather & family, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I remember meeting Bill when I used to get my nails done by Clara. He was a true character with lots to talk about. Always with a smile and a little twinkle in his eyes. Then he and his wife and children lived next to my husband’s parents. So we got to meet the whole clan. Wishing you peace Bill. Sending lots of love and praying for strength for your family. God bless, love Jody and Kelly

We were lucky to know Bill as a young teenager. He was always eager to do a great job earning money to purchase his tools with. He took those tools and built himself the original tiny home. He loved cold, right out of the can, Campbells cream of mushroom soup, which i could never understand. He had a great smile and was a very loving guy. We met Bill and his wife as adults, and he was so excited to talk about his wife and kids. It was good to see him so happy. The world’s gonna miss you Bill.

Uncle Bill, I have no words besides on how much I’m gonna miss you. I’m gonna miss just seeing you at random times and you always telling me to stop growing up, then just pulling me in for a hug. You always promised to teach us things that my dad never got too, and now you don’t get to either and that tears me apart. I miss and love you so much and I should’ve hugged you a little harder when I saw you the day after my birthday. I love you
