In Memory Of

William Mars

June 13, 1960 – February 21, 2019

William “Bill” Nelson Mars III, 58, of Helena passed away February 21, 2019 from COPD. He was born June 13, 1960 at Vallejo, California to William and Dorothy (Dayton) Mars II.
Bill loved spending time in his man shed watching movies with his good friends John and Mitch or repairing things with Rick. He loved to take the dogs Brodie and Little Girl to the reservoir so they could Run while he did a little fishing.
Bill was a firefighter for many summers. He loved seeing so much of Montana and made a lot of friends. In the winter he was a CNA and took care of many people in this community. He was always kind and loving with a positive word for everyone. He could tell a story like no one else. His friends say it was an honor to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife Katharine, five sons Aaron, Jesse, Tommy, Troy, Travis, his father William N. Mars II. Also survived by his brother and sister Nat and Beth many nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Four loving sisters-in-law Loree Lee, Shan Marie, Michele Paulette and Bobbie Lynn.
We will be celebrating his life this summer with everyone at 2992 Heron Road #30, Helena, MT 59602. Please mail any donations to same address.

A great caring friend, trustworthy and wise beyond his years. Bill was one o would turn to for his words of wisdom. He once made me write 20 self affirmations & came looking for me when I had too much pride to ask for help. He put a temporary fix on my car so I could get to a surgery in Billings that lasted almost 2 years. He touched many lives in so many more ways. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace my friend!
