On the morning of December 24, 2015, Wilma passed away from natural causes in her sleep at TLC Senior Living in Townsend, Montana. Wilma was 85. Wilma was born in Browning, Montana on April 24, 1930 to Harland and Violet Murphy.
Wilma married Kay L. Hoyt of Browning in Great Falls, Montana on February 12, 1949. Kay and Wilma ranched and ran many different businesses, including Hoyt Chevrolet. They raised 5 children. Wilma had many hobbies including water skiing, snow mobile racing, knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, ceramic making, and her favorite – bowling. Wilma was a member of Eastern Star. She converted to Catholicism in 2015.
Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Kay Louis Hoyt, all of her siblings, including her twin brother, and two of her grandsons – AJ Hoyt and Kenneth Dale Hoyt.
Wilma is survived by her children Kenny (Vicki) Hoyt of Browning, Montana, Richard (Deb) Hoyt of Browning, Montana, Kathy (Chuck) Lange of Milan, New Mexico, Kelly (Kim) Hoyt of Browning, Montana, and Carol (Myron) Taylor of Townsend, Montana. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren. May God rest her soul.
Rosary will be 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Glacier Home Wake Center. Celebrate the Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Little Flower Parish with graveside committal following at Willow Creek Cemetery.
