We are but fleeting moments and memories, passing like whispers in time. A life truly well-lived is one that finds its meaning in connection, generosity, and the impact it leaves on others.”
Apple Jane was born on April 17, 1991, in the lush landscapes of Mindanao, Philippines. As the fourth of six children, she brought a quiet yet vibrant energy into the family. She was a reserved soul who fiercely guarded her personal space, but her creativity and ideas knew no bounds.
Jane’s brilliance lit up every moment. She transformed simple materials into masterpieces—gowns from plastic bags, toy cars from wood, and dollhouses from paper and cartons. Her artistic flair was undeniable. She even painted a mural of her brother’s favorite anime, Naruto, on their room’s wall—a testament to her talent and thoughtfulness.
At just 12 years old, Jane decided to learn how to cut hair. Her brother was her first “client,” and while the result had him skipping school the next day and needing a professional barber to fix it, it became a family story they still laugh about. This was Jane—creative, fearless, resourceful, and determined.
She was Papa’s favorite—the steady, reliable hand he trusted to carry out his instructions with precision and care. Jane had a unique way of safeguarding family traditions, preserving the values and practices that bonded them. Her meticulous attention to detail and unerring accuracy naturally positioned her as a leader within the family—someone everyone looked up to and depended on.
But beyond her strength and leadership, it was Jane’s boundless love for children that truly defined her. From a young age, she found joy in caring for her cousins’ little ones, nurturing them with the same affection she poured into everything she did. Later, she became the best “Tita Apple” to her nieces and nephews. Whether it was their first haircut, a surprise toy, or simply her time and attention, Jane had an unmatched way of making every child feel special.
Jane’s brilliance extended far beyond her creative endeavors. She graduated as class valedictorian in elementary school, and though finances were tight for the family of six, Jane always found a way. In high school, she transformed her skills into income, cutting hair, designing t-shirts, and completing artistic commissions. Whatever she touched, she transformed—her creativity and dedication were unmatched. By the age of 13, she had already mastered driving a motorcycle, trained by Papa himself, who admired her courage, precision, and ability to learn anything she set her mind to. Jane was more than brilliant; she was unstoppable.
After high school, Jane moved to Iligan City to study Computer Programming on a scholarship. Her brilliance continued to shine as she consistently made the Dean’s List. Upon graduating, one of her school administrators invited her to join the faculty, but Jane chose a different path, moving to Luzon to work as a call center agent. For over a decade, she handled various accounts with grace and dedication, helping financially to support her siblings’ education.
When most of her siblings had completed their studies, they encouraged Jane to finally pursue her dream of studying Architecture. With full support, she returned to Mindanao and enrolled in her dream course. For a year, Jane poured her heart into her studies, but financial challenges forced her to make the difficult decision to step away and return to work.
She moved back to Luzon, resuming her career as a call center agent. Later, Jane transitioned into freelancing, where her skills and determination truly flourished. She became an eCommerce head and a legal admin assistant for a U.S. company, proving once again her ability to excel in anything she set her mind to. Jane’s resilience and adaptability were nothing short of remarkable—she never let setbacks define her but used them as stepping stones to build a brighter future.
Jane’s love and generosity knew no bounds. She wasn’t just a sister; she was an architect of her siblings’ dreams. She designed and conceptualized all the homes in the family, turning ideas into blueprints for the future. Her kindness extended beyond the family—she supported cousins in need and shared her talents with anyone who crossed her path. During family occasions, especially weddings, Jane was the busiest of all, ensuring every detail was perfect. She taught her siblings, their spouses, and even cousins how to drive vehicles, sharing not just her skills but her confidence and courage. Her love for carpentry was unmatched—she collected tools and crafted furniture with the same care and precision she applied to everything in her life.
In July 2022, Julie introduced Jane to Bryce, and they began communicating. By May 2023, Jane gave the family a beautiful surprise—she introduced Bryce, the first man she had ever formally brought into their lives. Their connection was undeniable, and during the family trip to Bohol, Jane radiated happiness like never before. It was as if she had found the missing piece of her heart. After the trip, she shared her plans to marry Bryce and move to the U.S., spending her final months in the Philippines creating cherished memories with her loved ones.
When she arrived in the U.S. in July 2024, Jane transformed into a completely new version of herself. She became a devoted and loving wife, fully immersing herself in her new life with Bryce. His happiness became her top priority. Despite never having cooked before, Jane eagerly called her sister Jam to learn how to prepare Filipino dishes for him. She was always excited to share stories of her cooking adventures and Bryce’s reactions.
From a strong, reserved, and independent woman, Jane became a warm, caring, and dedicated housewife. She lovingly created a home filled with joy and comfort, embracing her new role with open arms. It amazed everyone how quickly she became a nurturing and thoughtful wife to Bryce and a beloved daughter-in-law to his family. Her determination to be the best version of herself was inspiring.
Even in her most challenging moments in the hospital, Jane’s selflessness never wavered. She is constantly worried about Bryce, asking Jam to check on him because she knew he hadn’t slept and had driven long hours to be by her side. Even before her surgery, she reminded Jam to look after him, putting his well-being above her own. Despite her struggles, Jane spoke often to the family of her dreams for the future with Bryce—a full recovery, starting a family, and continuing the beautiful life she had built.
Jane’s heart was vast and full, leaving an imprint on every life she touched. Her love story with Bryce was a testament to her belief in the beauty of waiting for the right moment and the right person, adding yet another layer of meaning to her already remarkable life.
Jane was, and always will be, a truly beautiful soul. Her kindness, generosity, and boundless creativity left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She lived with a heart full of love, always giving more than she received, and her presence brought light to even the darkest of days.
Though her time with us feels far too short, Jane’s legacy is eternal. It lives on in the homes she designed, the lives she nurtured, and the memories we hold dear. Her laughter, her quiet strength, and her unwavering love will forever echo in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear Jane. You are deeply loved, and you will be profoundly missed. Until we meet again, your spirit will guide and inspire us.
The live broadcast will open 15 minutes prior to the start of the service at 1:00 PM MTN time.
