Christopher (Chris) Wayne Stocker
January 21, 1987 – April 29, 2024
Christopher -meaning- Christ’s Child, taught us all the truest meaning of love, empathy, patience, and understanding. Chris entered this world with his surprises then took off to prove to doctors and the world that he would live life on his terms and to the best of his abilities. Chris passed away suddenly the evening of April 29.
Chris was the third blessing born to Garry and Joan Stocker. Chris so loved his family with all his heart. He cherished his older brothers Garry and Mike, and relished the quality time spent hanging out with them. He also loved their wives just like they were his own sisters.
Chris had a very special bond with his Grandma Stocker who stayed with the boys while Mom and Dad worked. They spent many hours a day reading, singing, or watching TV. Grandma was a calming soul for Chris.
Chris also had a special bond with his only nephew Michael who was born in 2016. They were so happy to watch cartoons or read together. In later years Michael liked helping his Uncle Chris open gifts during Christmas and birthdays. When Mom picked Chris up for family events his first question was if Michael was coming to the event.
Chris attended school in Helena where he excelled in reading and math at a young age. Chris had an amazing memory for dates and promises. In high school Chris was so loud when excited that if his classmates in other rooms didn’t hear him at school, they would show up at Mom’s work to check on him. Chris graduated from Helena High School in 2005.
A short time after high school Chris took residency at WestMont Townsend House in Helena. Chris worked at WestMont Vastt Program. Chris and his family were blessed with many earthly angels through WestMont, from his first day to his last. Every day Chris was surrounded by their love. We as a family cannot thank Townsend House and WestMont enough for their love , incredible caring, and understanding.
Chris was known for his love of certain foods (in his words) babaq, hamburber, fries, Jelmo, nanas, pizza pawdies, pummkin pie, and poke and beans. Chris loved car rides so he could direct the driver right, left, straight, or tune awound. He gave the biggest hugs and kisses and was a gentle soul.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Roland and Dorothy Stewart, and Garry and Carolyn Stocker.
Chris is survived by his parents Garry and Joan Stocker, brothers Garry (Carolynn) Stocker, Mike (Kelly) Stocker, nephew Michael, all of Helena, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joan and Garry. We had many great rides with Christopher navigating while singing. Then picking up Grandma Stocker and making a run through the McDonald’s drive thru for hamburber and Fench fries before heading back to your house. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. He was one of our favorite people

Chris, you were a gentle soul, who taught all of us compassion, understanding and love. My favorite memory of you is when Grandma Stocker would sit on the couch, and you on the floor rubbing her leg as she read to you. The room could have 30 people in it, which could be overwhelming to you, but a book and Grandma would make the whole world right. Love at its best.
I loved your kisses to your Momma. They were loud and heartfelt and wonderful. You never failed to let us know when you were happy.
We know the Lord has received his angel back and we miss you terribly. Lord, I pray you have “hamburbers and pok and beans” in heaven.
