Jermey Jacob Harris, age 51, of Helena, MT passed away on February 6, 2024
A celebration of life will be February 24, 2024 from Noon to 4:00 PM at the Speakeasy 41 Brewing Company, 685 Barney St A, Helena, MT 59602
Jermey was born to Thomas and Cathy Harris on January 5, 1973 at Fort Rucker Alabama. At the age of 6 months he and his mom were on their way to Germany for over 3 years to be with his dad while he was stationed there with the army.
Jermey grew up in East Helena and graduated from Helena High. Jermey married the love of his life, Gina Huebner on Nov 4, 2007. Jermey worked for Cap paving for 17 years. Prior to that, he worked for Montana Hydraulics for7years.
Jermey loved the adventure of wild land firefighting. He was also a member of a volunteer fire dept in the East Helena area for many years. Jermey loved the outdoors. Always fishing, hunting and camping with the family in the Boulder area or up the Little Blackfoot.
He was also a fantastic cook. He had something cooking on the smoker or barbeque almost every weekend. Super Bowl and 4th of July were big deals at the Harris household. All kinds of appetizers and smoked meats were available for everyone’s enjoyment. He also had a smile and laugh that would light up a room and bring joy to every event that he was at. He was the friend that everyone loved and he gave his life to make sure his family would want for not. Jermey was the best big brother and ringleader of the siblings.
We’re certain that when he first got to heaven, he didn’t ask what the meaning of life is. He asked if Bigfoot really exists.
Jermey was also an organ donor. There is someone out there that can now see because of the donation of his corneas.
Jermey is survived by his wife Gina, sons Jacob, Lukas, Kevin Mowery (Aurora) and daughter Ashley Turnage (Nick). His parents Tom and Cathy Harris, his sister Becky Cedar (Bob), his brother Nathan and his sister Janie Schmidt (Kyle). He also had 3 grandsons; Dominick 11, Caleb 9, Ethan 8 and another grandson on the way.
Also, his mother-in-law Dixie and brother-in-law David along with numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Jermey will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved him.

I will miss being teased about being a vegetarian. Jermey & Nate incessantly posted bacon memes on my Facebook page & I never knew what I would find when I logged onto my page. I loved how enamored Jermey was with Big Foot. His love for his family was clearly evident. Even more evident was the love his family had for him. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

So sad to see this but I know that you’re in a better place, looking down upon your family. I know my buddy Nate is missing you like crazy ❤️
Rest in heaven Jermey 🙏
